I have said many times that America and the system of domination along with America have done everything they could possibly do against Iran, the Iranian nation, and the Islamic Republic system. Whatever they have not done, they could not do — there have been reasons for that, they could not do it due to those reasons. Everything that was possible for them to do in enmity, they have done. And the result is what you see: this great tree, this blessed tree, this tree of Tuba, grows more powerful day by day. This firm structure, every day more solid than before, flaunts itself before the enemy. And this is where the word “resistance” finds its meaning. When we say “resistance forces, the resistance movement, the resistance front” — this is what it means. It means that a reality called Islam has risen up in the contemporary era. This great Islamic movement did not exist a hundred years ago or fifty years ago, but it exists today, seizing the collar of the system of domination firmly and acting for freedom and justice. This has come into being. They want to expend every capability they have to push this back. This is where [the Quran says]: “So for that, invite [to faith] and be steadfast” (Quran 42:15). Both invitation is necessary, and steadfastness is necessary. Resistance means this.
